Introduction

In response to rising electricity costs and increasing environmental regulations, Nene Property has launched an innovative renewable energy project in Long Buckby. This initiative aims to provide tenants with sustainable energy solutions while significantly reducing operational expenses.

In collaboration with Nene Electrical, Nene Property have installed a state-of the-art solar energy system to ensure the property meets the highest sustainability standards. This strategic investment reflects the core values of the Nene Group: innovation, quality, and integrity.

Despite the Government’s decision to delay an implementation of legislative changes to the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards, Nene Property, in line with Nene Group’s core values, installed a state-of-the-art solar energy system as part of their mission to ensure our portfolio continues to meet the highest sustainability standards possible.

The Solution for Nene Property

Following a comprehensive feasibility study, Nene Property installed a cutting-edge 116.1 kW solar energy system. This solution includes 270 high efficiency Tier 1 Jinko solar panels (Tiger Neo N-type 54HL4R-B 430W All Black), two 30 kW SolaX Power inverters, two 60 kW SolaX Power inverters, and a 23.2 kWh SolaX Power battery.

Together, these components are projected to generate an impressive 102,967 kWh annually, dramatically cutting down reliance on non-renewable energy sources.

With extensive warranties, a 25-year product warranty, a 30-year performance warranty for the panels, and 10 years for the inverters, this system ensures long-term reliability. By adopting this innovative solar energy solution, Nene Property is cutting operational expenses, enhancing sustainability, and meeting environmental standards, setting a new industry benchmark.

The Environmental Win

Nene Property’s solar energy investment results in significant environmental benefits. The installation of solar panels reduces annual CO2 emissions by 26 tonnes, equivalent to taking cars off the road for 779,446 kilometres, planting 5,011 trees, or avoiding 558 long-haul flights.

The system will reduce 61% of harmful SO2 and NO2 emissions, promoting cleaner air. By achieving 70% self-consumption from clean energy, Nene Property is significantly reducing its dependence on non-renewable sources, enhancing energy security and sustainability. With long-term warranties ensuring ongoing benefits, Nene Property’s initiative aligns with global climate goals and sets a standard for sustainable property management.

The Financial Win

Nene Property’s investment in solar energy provides significant financial benefits. By installing the solar energy system, they are projected to reduce monthly expenses by 58%, resulting in annual savings estimated to be around 28% of the initial investment, highlighting its cost-effectiveness.
