About the Customer
Wagtail Services works with swim school owners across the UK, supporting the development of high-quality swimming facilities that enable businesses to grow and deliver exceptional customer experiences. As part of a new purpose-built swimming pool development in Stafford, Wagtail Services required a modern electrical installation to support the new facility.
The project’s principal contractor appointed Nene Electrical to deliver the complete electrical installation on behalf of the end client. Working collaboratively throughout the design and construction phases, we provided a high-quality solution that met the project’s technical requirements while supporting the successful delivery of the new facility.
The Challenge
The project involved delivering the full electrical installation for a brand-new 20m x 8m swimming pool, helping create a modern facility capable of increasing swimming capacity from 600 to 2,000 users.
With a demanding construction programme, multiple trades working simultaneously, and limited space on site, the installation required careful coordination and precision to ensure all services were installed to programme without compromising quality.
The Solution
Working as part of a full design and build project, Nene Electrical delivered a comprehensive range of electrical services, including:
- LV distribution and sub-metering
- Small power installations
- General and emergency lighting
- Lighting controls
- External lighting
- Disabled facilities, including induction loops
- ICT wiring and containment
- Fire alarm systems
- Access control and security
- Full testing and certification
We also supported the project’s mechanical services through a trusted partner, demonstrating a collaborative approach that helped achieve a successful outcome for the client.
The Finished Project
Despite the challenging programme and restricted working environment, the project was delivered to a high standard. Careful planning ensured high-level services aligned precisely throughout the building, while containment, lighting, and presence and absence detection systems were installed neatly before internal partition walls were constructed.
The completed installation provided a safe, efficient, and future-ready electrical infrastructure, supporting the successful delivery of a modern swimming facility designed to serve significantly increased visitor numbers.
